Client Challenges
The client is a leading rice processing enterprise in Thailand, with an annual output of more than 180,000 tons. Its finished packaging line covers 5kg, 10kg and 25kg woven bag specifications, and runs 18 hours a day. Before cooperating with Fanchi-tech, the factory adopted manual spot-checking for finished product weight, which exposed three core operational pain points:
- Capacity bottleneck from low efficiency: Each worker could only complete weighing and recording of about 50 bags per hour, far below the 100+ bags per hour speed of the automatic packaging line. Workers had to work overtime to keep up with production, restricting overall delivery capacity.
- High compliance and reputation risk: Manual sampling only covered less than 8% of total output. Underweight products often flowed into the market, resulting in distributor returns and regulatory fines, which continuously damaged the brand reputation.
- Rising labor and management pressure: Each production line was equipped with 4 weighing operators. The heavy handling work led to high employee turnover, with continuously climbing training costs and labor expenses.
- Lack of digital traceability: Paper-based weighing records could not support real-time data analysis, and the filling deviation of the packaging machine could not be corrected in time, causing long-term invisible raw material waste.
After on-site investigation of the client’s workshop layout, product specifications and production rhythm, Fanchi-tech deployed the FC-CW450 heavy-duty inline checkweigher at the back end of the client’s automatic packaging line. - Integrated intelligent control system: The vertical control cabinet is equipped with a 7-inch color touch screen, which supports storage of up to 100 product formulas, one-click parameter switching, and real-time display of weighing data, pass rate and rejection statistics. The tri-color warning light on the top gives real-time reminders of equipment status and abnormal conditions.
- Industrial safety and hygienic design: The whole machine is made of 304 stainless steel with a smooth surface and no sanitary dead corners, easy to clean and maintain, and meets the hygienic requirements of food production workshops. The control cabinet is equipped with an emergency stop button, complying with industrial safety production standards.
